Community rules
Nasiha exists so that something which helped one person can reach the next. These are the rules that keep it worth reading, and what happens when they are broken.
Last updated 21 September 2026 · These rules are the terms of use for Nasiha
Advice is read before it is published. Every piece of advice waits for a moderator, so nothing unreviewed reaches a reader. Comments appear straight away and are moderated afterwards, with a word filter in front of them. Review is usually within a day, which is what the app tells you while you wait.
What belongs here
- Something that actually helped you. Write from your own experience, with enough detail that a reader can try it. One concrete step beats a page of encouragement.
- Religious guidance with its source named. If you are writing guidance rather than experience, say where it comes from so a reader can check it. The app requires a source before such a post can be submitted.
- Honest limits. “This worked for me and might not for you” is a better post than one that claims more than you know.
What does not
- Insults, slurs and harassment. Disagree with the advice; do not go after the person. Some terms are caught automatically and held for review before anyone reads them.
- Rulings presented as authority. Nasiha is not a place to issue fatwa. Share what you have learned and who you learned it from; for a ruling, a reader should ask a qualified person.
- Unsourced religious claims. Attributing something to the Qur’an, a hadith or a scholar without saying which is how misinformation spreads fastest.
- Spam, advertising and self-promotion. Including funnelling people to a product, a channel or a service.
- Other people’s private business. Do not publish names, contact details or identifying details of anyone who has not agreed to it.
- Medical, legal and financial instructions. Your experience of an illness or a debt is welcome. Telling someone what to take or what to sign is not.
- Anything unlawful, and anything sexual, violent or hateful.
A note on disagreement
People here will differ on matters where difference is legitimate, and a community for advice cannot work if every difference becomes an accusation. Argue the point, name your source, and leave the other person their good faith. A comment that only questions someone’s religion rather than their reasoning will be removed.
If something breaks the rules
Report it. Every post, comment and profile has a report action in the app. Reports are private — the author is never told who reported them — and they put the content in the moderator’s queue straight away.
Block whoever you like. Blocking takes effect immediately, needs no moderator, and works in both directions: you stop seeing them and they stop seeing you.
What a moderator can do
- Hold a comment that a filter caught, until a person has read it. A false positive costs its author a wait, not their words.
- Publish advice, which makes it visible to everyone.
- Remove a post or comment. It stays visible to its author and disappears for everyone else, so you are never left wondering whether it was deleted.
- Restore anything removed. Decisions are reversible, and every decision — with its reason and its time — is recorded.
Repeatedly breaking these rules can end in an account being removed.
What you keep
What you write stays yours. Posting it here gives Nasiha permission to show it to other members of the community and nothing further — it is not sold, licensed onward, or used to train anything. Delete your account and your advice and comments go with it.
Who moderates
A single person: the developer, reachable at programmingdash@gmail.com. The first release is deliberately a small invited group, because one person can only review so much, and the size of the group is what keeps reviewing every post before publication possible rather than theoretical.
Disagreeing with a decision
Email the address above. Say what was removed and when. Decisions are reversible and reversals are recorded like any other decision.
