Common questions
How does voice counting work?
Turn on voice counting and say your dhikr, such as Astaghfirullah. Istighfar uses Apple’s on‑device speech recognition to detect the phrase and add one to your count. The audio is processed on your device and never leaves it.
Voice counting isn’t incrementing.
Check that you granted Microphone and Speech Recognition permission in Settings → Istighfar, that the device isn’t blocking recording, and that you’re speaking clearly in a reasonably quiet space. You can always switch to tap counting.
Where is my data stored?
Everything stays on your device. Istighfar doesn’t use accounts, cloud sync, analytics, or any network connection. Your counts, custom dhikr, and themes are all on device.
Can I add my own dhikr?
Yes. Add custom dhikr phrases with your own target count, and switch between them whenever you like.
How do I use the widget and Live Activity?
Add the Istighfar widget from your Home Screen or Control Center to add to your count with a single tap. While you’re counting, a Live Activity keeps your current count on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
