Istighfar Privacy Policy

Summary

Your worship stays private. Your dhikr counts, custom dhikr, and voice recognition all happen on your iPhone or iPad and are never uploaded. To understand how the app is used and to improve it, Istighfar uses Google Firebase Analytics, which collects anonymous usage data — things like when the app is opened and which features are used. We never collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, or the words you recite.

What stays on your device

Analytics we collect (Firebase)

Istighfar uses Google Firebase Analytics, a third‑party service, to measure how many people use the app, whether they keep using it, and which features are popular. This helps us decide what to improve.

What is collected:

What is not collected: your name, email, phone number, or contacts; your precise GPS location; your microphone audio; or the content of the dhikr you recite. Istighfar does not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA).

This anonymous data is processed by Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. We use this data only to improve Istighfar. We do not sell it or use it to show you ads.

What Istighfar does not do

System permissions Istighfar requests

If you only count by tapping, Istighfar never asks for these permissions.

Your choices

Because the analytics identifier is random and stored on your device, deleting and reinstalling Istighfar resets it and starts a fresh, unlinked identifier.

Children

Istighfar is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy
