Last updated: 5 August 2026

Summary

Dotty does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information with the developer or any third party. Your tasks, habits, and settings live on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, that data syncs only through your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit — the developer has no servers and no access to it.

What Dotty stores on your device

iCloud sync

Dotty uses Apple’s CloudKit to keep your tasks in sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your data is stored in the private database of your personal iCloud account, tied to your Apple ID. This means:

System permissions Dotty requests

Purchases

Dotty is free, and every feature is included — nothing is locked behind a purchase. The app offers optional one‑time tips for anyone who wants to support development. Tips are entirely voluntary and unlock nothing.

Tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. Dotty does not receive or store your payment information; the transaction is handled under Apple’s privacy policy. Dotty keeps no record of whether you have tipped.

Children

Dotty is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
